1. The most important aspect: SAFETY! Make safety your constant goal, whether you have yet to fly or have hundreds of flights under your belt. Here are a few safety aspects.
A. LIPO batteries - wonderful batteries, IF they are cared for properly, otherwise they can be very dangerous. See the LIPO section.
B. Propellers - props are dangerous and cause more injuries than any other drone activity. The most skilled remote pilots will only HAND CATCH their drone if they are on a mountain side with no place to land. Keep a safe distance from takeoff, 20'-30'. Do not let a flying drone come near people or pets.
C. Failure to study or understand the manufacturer's owner/operating manual is also to blame for many crashes and malfunctions.
